For obvious reasons, very few tickets from the 1930's Masters Tournaments are
known to exist. Tickets from each year are exceedingly rare, with only
handful of authentic examples known to exist, and virtually all stored away in
prominent golf collections. But this ticket may the be rarest of them all.
For some reason, the 1939 Masters ticket has rarely surfaced for sale in the
last couple decades. Just how rare is it? Well, when The Augusta
Chronicle featured a photograph of every Masters Badge ever produced during
the 2005 Masters Tournament, it was missing just one badge - 1939.
Not that condition matters all too much when you're talking about an item
this rare, but this 1939 Masters ticket is in great condition, and is certainly
one of the finest 1939 Masters ticket in existence.
